General Information

Krems is home to a variety of educational establishments at the elementary level and also caters to university students with an outstanding range of courses. The city has 12 public kindergartens, five primary schools and a school campus composed of a secondary modern school, polytechnic secondary school and a general special-needs school. There are also 7 after-school childcare facilities, 5 of which are in the schools themselves and a music school.  Krems’ administrative departments work together to provide a comprehensive range of support for our city’s children and adolescents, from the moment they start kindergarten to the day they move up to secondary school.
